Space Research Intern

Contribute to research projects exploring space technologies and their applications.

What you’ll do:

  • Review scientific literature and emerging developments in the space sector.
  • Support data analysis, simulations or experiments, depending on the project.
  • Document methods and findings, and contribute to technical reports, white papers and research publications.

Who this suits:

Students and early-career researchers with strong analytical skills, clear writing and an interest in space. Programming or data analysis experience is useful for technical projects.

Community & Communications Intern

Help build an active and welcoming space community.

What you’ll do:

  • Support our Discord and WeChat communities, welcome members and coordinate discussions.
  • Prepare social media posts, newsletters and project updates.
  • Help organise online talks, community activities and contributor showcases.

Who this suits:

Organised communicators who enjoy connecting people, writing and creating content. Experience with online communities is helpful; Chinese language skills are useful for WeChat activities.

Web & Operations Intern

Help keep AlienLab’s website, shared resources and day-to-day activities organised.

What you’ll do:

  • Update website content, publication listings and project pages.
  • Maintain GitHub documentation and help organise issues, discussions and contributor enquiries.
  • Support scheduling, onboarding, shared records and routine administration.

Who this suits:

Detail-oriented people with good organisational skills and an interest in digital tools. Familiarity with GitHub and basic HTML/CSS is helpful.
